Lynx site scheme

I know many of us who have visual processing and sensory issues use the Lynx sitescheme, and I want to make sure it gets improved so it's as usable as the other schemes. But that it's done in a way that doesn't make it any less accessible, of course!

DW's Lynx is already slightly improved - it displays if you're logged on versus logged out - previously both conditions had "log in/log out" links but now it shows only the appropriate one and also your journal name when you're logged in.

[personal profile] jadelennox pointed out in another post that Lynx is missing most of the menu options that are present in other site schemes and I got to thinking about how we could include them without compromising things.

My suggestion is to use a list that's UNDER what's currently the last line of the page. If it's not at the end then we loose accessibility for screen reader users and people like me who need very large font sizes. If it's at the end then it's easy to skip. So my suggestion is that it might be implemented to look like this:

I think this would work fine at the end of the page, and provides the same links as the main menu in other site schemes.

Opinions? Suggestions? How else could Lynx be improved?
