Access requests

I'm having a med reaction that's left me exhausted but jittery and sleepless, so I might as well do something productive with the time. It's been a very long time since I asked people for feature or bug requests for accessibility issues.

What do you wish, in a perfect world, dreamwidth would fix or implement? Note that I'm more clueless about cognitive accessibility, magnification, and visual processing, so I especially welcome clarifications on places we fail on those. No request too large or small, as long as it obeys the laws of thermodynamics.

I actually have 2 requests: one of them is probably a minor one to fix. But I'll start with the other one. I think this was discussed awhile back, but I wish that social-networking links were implemented. I have tried the email sharing option with very good results, and it seems to me that Twitter and Facebook as well as the other social networks could easily be implemented. Thoughts? The accessibility fix I'd like to suggest has to do with the mobile site. Even when logged in on that side, the button says "Log in" when it would make more sense to say "Log out." But other than those 2 things, I've had absolutely no trouble with Dw.

  1. I've had some ideas about social networking links, myself. I'll move forward with writing up that spec and propose it to people. [profile] dw_suggesstions is moribund right now, but I'm not sure that's permanent.

  2. Hmm. What browser and platform? For example, is it Safari on iOS, etc? I can't replicate the behavior. And I assume you mean the button at the top of the page, just after your username linked on all the pages? Or something else?

Sorry for the late reply; I was busy preparing for a meeting this morning and then my next-door neighbors hosted a birthday party for their daughter. But regarding the accessibility bug I mentioned in my previous reply, it happens in Safari and Google Chrome with both Chromevox and VoiceOver. This is on Mac OS X. I'm referring to where it says "Log in" after my username.
