youtube / vimeo links without flash

I think there's only one accessibility feature in tonight's code push (except that all the various other little clarifications, doc fixes, etc are also accessibility wins, but this is the big one).

Youtube and vimeo video embeds require flash to control. Many of us can't easily access the Flash controls (and many people have problems with flash a number of reasons). This patch puts a plain HTML link to the video outside the Flash, so you can open it up at the Vimeo and Youtube sites, where you might have more control. For example, you might have YouTube configured to autoplay, or configured to use their much more accessible HTML5 player, but that only works if you're at their site.

Also coming imminently but not here tonight, the links will also contain the title of the video, so you know what it is before you follow the link. We just need to finish some paperwork with youtube to enable that functionality.

The silently redirecting htm & HTML should be a distinct boon as well.

It is, in fact, the neatest thing, because I am forever typing .htm and leaving the "l" off for some reason that only my brain knows and is not sharing with me or anyone else, ever.

I was raised in the land of obligatory three-letter file type extensions, with an optional second three letter set if the first one wasn't enough. File names longer than eight letters were so amazing.

To this day I find it very difficult to let a file have a long name. I still try to make it as short as possible. XD

LOL I'm fine with relatively long names but I still have issues with voluntarily putting spaces in filenames - I'm just as likely to join the words with hyphens even after 10+ years of Mac use!

Underscores are my friends! XD I swear, every time I try to give a file a long name, I forget what it is by morning, but name it something like ffw_hp05 and I know *exactly* what it is years later.
