How blind programmers work

How can you program if you're blind -- a question on StackOverflow that gets some thorough answers from blind programmers. Figured it might be interesting reading for others who, like me, are interested in the tools and processes.

Thanks for linking to this. It looks pretty interesting, but I noticed that it might not be the best topic for that site. What that means exactly I don't know. But I'm thinking more and more about going into programming. Not just here on Dreamwidth, but in general. This is due in part to a panel discussion last week in which I participated. I was the keynote speaker for the evening, and gave a speech about how assistive technology has impacted my life over the years.
