(b) I have yet to come across a truly unique use-case :-p I reckon if we can come up with something better, we should (even if it ends up going on The List Of Things For The Support Board Overhaul, if we end up going down a configuring-support-board-for-volunteers-with-privs route? which I guess we could, because people faced with that set of prefs are probably power-users anyway...)
